On 2 January, “Oira ga Iku Shika Nee na”, produced by K-FORCE, was used during the segment introducing Nakatani of the comedy duo Mayurika on “Warai no Sogo Kakutogi! Chihara Junior no Zaou — New Year Special”.
【About the programme】
Devised by the comedian Chihara Junior, “Zaou” is a comedy contest billed as “mixed martial arts of laughter”, in which comedians compete with short bits. It runs like musical chairs: whoever fails to get a seat picks another comedian, who then has to improvise a routine on a written theme. A head judge decides each bout, and the last one standing is crowned “Zaou” — the king of the seat. In the New Year Special, the field is split into Group A and Group B and fights through to the final.
